Apples and Nuts

I had to take my computer into the Apple store last week for some minor repairs and was completely overcome by how bustling it was in there. Have you experienced this before? It's wild. Anyways, I managed to find time to sketch this customer as he was being enlightened by a Mac "Genius."

This is what a typical Portland man looks like, age 60.

Dino Map

He's coming to North West Portland and he's going to ruin all of you.

*sigh*

It's been a while

I realize I haven't posted in over a week and I didn't really want to apologize for it because I don't want us to have that kind of relationship, but I do think an explanation is in order. Simply put, I had the flu. I fantasized about how I would continue drawing during my ailment and create amazing illness inspired art, but the fact is I just didn't feel well enough to do anything. Finally I'm better and am ready to post some sketches. I've been focusing on drawing things from my imagination, which is kind of hard when you've been working from life for so long. Not only do you have to tap into your imagination, but you have to have confidence in your drawing skills. Everything is so much easier when you have it right in front of you. Here's a caricature of me surrounded by angry, fluffy creatures. These are the monsters of winter and if only I could figure out how to banish them for good.
