Get well soon, Lottie

A few weeks ago my grandmother fell and broke her hip. She's 92, but seems to be doing very well and on the road to recovery.

Did I mention that she has a fondness for owls?

White Out Portrait

I've always been a fan of white out and I've always been a fan of portraits, so this piece came pretty naturally to me. I'm gearing up for a mosaic portrait of my grandfather using bottlecaps and this drawing is from the source image I'm going to use. I think it pretty accurately depicts his charm and personality. I've been planning on doing this mosaic for a few years now, but I recently became aware of the work of Molly B Right who's been doing it for a little while now. Check em' out!

Self Portrait Scribble Shade

Self Portrait! This was actually supposed to be the second drawing of a three part series. The other two drawings do not include me. Unfortunately I wasn't really happy with the first drawing in the series so it may just turn into a two part series. Part two coming eventually

I'm not entirely sure what's going on in this picture, but I may be removing my sweater. Pretty erotic, no? If you like it the way it looks, wait till you see it in super saturated mode.

!!!

And if you're in Portland tonight you should come to the Doug Fir to see Mighty Tiger, Grand Hallway, and Cabinessence. Perhaps you've seen my flier for it around town. If you haven't, here's a black and white version of it!

"Don't try them Lottie! They're HOT!"

What my grandfather said after he tried one of my Thai Lime and Chili cashews from Trader Joe's. I'm thinking of turning this into a show flier.
